Color Skinz™ accents are snap-on, plastic covers that physically fill the gap between Color Skinz™ structure wraps. Cloth Roll Assemble
Both cotton cloth, used for washing the sides of vehicles, and Dry N’ Shine™ material, used for drying the entire vehicle, are assembled utilizing this patented approach. In both cases, the results are superior to all other fastening methods. This patented assembly forces the wash/dry material to contact the vehicle surface with only the thin edge of the wash material, never engaging the flat surface of the media. As the wheel assembly rotates in contact with the surface of the vehicle being processed, it creates an endless contact point that operates at incredibly low decibel levels and reaches areas typically bridged by traditional wash/dry wheel assembles offered within the industry. Friction Curtain with Offset Racks
Front to back Mitter curtains have long been proven to be a simple, yet effective, way to clean the horizontal surfaces of vehicles. This patent does not disturb the simplicity of the design, yet improves the end results. Traditionally, a front to back Mitter moves the left side cloth racks forward, while the opposite right side racks move back. They continuously swing, passing each other in the middle, between the left side and the right side racks. The space between left side and right side racks will leave an untouched stripe of dirt down the center of the vehicle being washed. However, the Motor City Front to Back Mitter patent design allows left and right side racks to overlap the center line and eliminates the center gap. Therefore creating even cleaning across the entire horizontal surface.

Top Wheel
It’s all about saving tunnel space, and Motor City’s Top Wheel can fit into just seven feet of tunnel space, at least three feet less than our competition. That’s because our counter weight is mounted on the same side of the frame as the washing wheel. Other traditional designs hang the counter weight past the pivot point of the frame on the opposite side. Our patented design means more wash power in less space.

Axis™ Arch 2
No matter how good your Wrap A Round wheels are, they cannot clean the recessed areas of the front grill, around recessed license plates, around wiper blades, the back windows of pickup trucks or the space next to spare tires mounted on the backside of some SUV’s. You may be able to address some of these problem areas by targeting each one of them with some sort of wigwag bank of high pressure nozzles dedicated to cleaning a certain problematic area. However, by the time you address all the problem areas on the front, back and horizontal surfaces you would probably have consumed 10 to 15 feet of tunnel space and required 80 GPM of high pressure water.

Profiler™ Dryer
Over the last 40 years, many car wash equipment manufacturers from around the world have offered different drying systems that profile the horizontal surfaces of vehicles. The benefits of profiling vehicle shapes is significant. The air existing in the outlet of a nozzle will immediately begin to dissipate and lose its desired contact path. The further away a nozzle is from its target the greater the loss of impact. So, the closer you can profile the vehicle’s shape with a drying nozzle, the better your drying result. With that being understood, the obvious question is, why aren’t there more profiling dryers on the market?

The fact is, it is very difficult to design a profiling dryer that works consistently, without failing and damaging customer cars. Super Shiner
The Motor City Tire Shiner has a lot of great patented features. First, the 12” replaceable cloth applicator pads that consistently last 150,000 cars or more. They absorb and hold expensive chemicals, reducing excess from puddling on the floor. The soft cloth pads also rub the chemicals into the tire, not leaving chemical setting on the surface of the tire that will be thrown onto the lower quarter panels of the car when the customer leaves the property. The chemical dosing system is 99% repeatable time after time to a fraction of a 1 Mil. The best feature is the two-in-one on demand guide rail/applicator. When in its rest position, the guide rail side of the applicator arm guides the tire past the tire shiner machine without allowing the tire to hit the applicator and transfer undesired tire chemical onto a customer’s car that did not pay for the service.

It has two patented features that are not available from any other manufacturer. First, the machine washes and dries itself without any human interface. Its programmable software can be adjusted to conform to the requirements of the car wash on any particular day. Conveyor Safety Exit Trap Door
The safest conveyor just became even safer. The Super Duty™ Conveyor just received another great safety feature, and it’s another Motor City Wash Works patented exclusive. The exit trap door on the super duty conveyor can no longer be accidentally pushed open by a human foot. Even a really strong, big man cannot force the trap door open with a foot and get stuck under the top deck of the conveyor where the danger of moving parts is located. In order for the trap door to open, it requires the power of the hydraulic system to force open the door when the dollie begins its return path to the entrance of the car wash conveyor. The force required to open the trap door will not allow a person’s foot to slip through the opening intended only for the dollie pushing the car down the conveyor. Dolly Assembly For A Conveyor System
A number of dolly assemblies are connected in series with chain linkage sections to form an endless conveyor chain for the dolly assemblies to move objects along a track. Each dolly assembly includes a link attachment and a wheel assembly supported by the link attachment. The link attachment includes a base and a body portion. The body portion presents an open – loop partially surrounding an interior and extending between a pair of ends. The ends are spaced from one another to define an opening to the interior therebetween. The pair of ends are also formed in toward the interior to partially surround a respective pocket. Each pocket is configured to receive a portion of an endlink of a respective chain linkage section therein, and each one of the formed ends functions to prevent the endlink of the respective chain linkage section from becoming unhooked from the body portion.
